Reporting to the Senior Head of Categories & NGG Digital Brands, the Senior Category Manager, Jewellery is responsible for the long-term success of the category, as well as the daily trading and visibility of the category across the Farfetch ecosystem and within the Hard Luxury industry, and future key partners such as Richemont Group. The role will be dealing with different regional teams (such as APAC, US, Middle East) across many functions and will be interacting with both internal and external senior stakeholders as the Jewellery specialist within Farfetch setting up the category tone of voice and positioning in the market.

What You'll Do:

    • You will define a 3 year strategy and budget plan for the category, identifying the key pillars of growth and the path to achieve the revenue and profitability targets, that will be presented to the SVP of Commercial
    • You will lead the supply workstream by defining the assortment plan at Brand/Product/Channel level in order to unlock the right stock from our supply partners, both brands via our E-concession model and multi-brand stores, as well as via a close collaboration with Browns
    • You will build and maintain outstanding partner relationships through effective communication and reporting by creating internal company and partner-facing presentations, collaborating with Business Development and Account Management to scout new partners, pitch the Farfetch proposition to them and oversee their onboarding
    • You will contribute to co-ordinating brand marketing campaigns around new brands/collection launches (including paid media) and oversee organic marketing initiatives to optimise trading performance by defining the content calendar with the Creative and Editorial teams
    • You will work cross-functionally with teams internally (from Marketing, to Operations, Technology, Finance, Content, Planning) to identify opportunities for the category growth and development, preparing business cases for Senior Leader approval and leading projects as a subject matter expert for your category
    • You will be the key point of contact for the Private Client (VIP) team at global level with whom you will work to: support personal stylists' jewellery education through category & brand trainings that you will contribute to prepare and host, elevate the customer segment through facilitating high-value transactions and money-can't-buy experiences, pitch Farfetch Private Client proposal (including Fashion Concierge) to brands in order to secure exclusive stock and/or early access to product launches
    • You will work closely with the Category Strategy Manager and the Category Analyst to ensure business decisions are underpinned with data insights, and leverage data to support Jewellery commercial growth
    • You will be responsible for the category weekly and monthly trade and P&L, and accountable for its success

Who You Are:

    • Jewellery Buyer, Merchandiser or Category Manager with understanding and experience in the key market segments (fine, demi-fine, fashion, pre-owned), players and supply channel dynamics
    • An industry expert with established and successful relationships across key leading brands, deep product knowledge and a strong point of view on market trends and regional nuances
    • Commercially minded, with a strong focus on business development and growth with the ability to work towards metrics and targets
    • Client-focused ability to pitch Farfetch to prospective brand clients & sell the dream of what partnering with Farfetch looks like
    • Strong stakeholder management, to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally, and indirect reporting
    • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the expertise to manage cross-functional projects and influence cross-functional/cross-country teams
    • Knowledge of Excel (you can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint (to create engaging presentations)
