AERON is looking for a talented Senior Knitwear Designer to join our growing team.   • Design collections in line with the Creative Director’s vision and brand DNA
  • Create mood boards, and propose colour palettes in collaboration with the Creative Director
  • Do research, competitive benchmarking and translate new emerging trends and creative ideas into products
  • Take ownership of the product design lifecycle, manage and follow the workflow
  • Guiding and coordinating the product development process with design ideas
  • Work closely with the Knitwear Developers, Sourcers and innovators to get approval on the incoming materials
  • Responsible for comments on the various development samples throughout proto, pre-production, and production stages – making sure all relevant stakeholders are kept in the loop
  • Aware of knitwear trends, and new techniques and is always on the lookout for newness
  • Oversee and organize design sessions and take comments, provide proactively and focused input to ensure further sampling processes run smoothly
  • Own and document sample orders, and fitting comments and be able to report on their status at any given time
  • Responsible for the technical drawings in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Sourcing, Production & Merchandising
  • Keep collection boards and style overviews up to date
  • Prepare and participate in design presentations and meetings


  • Academic degree, from education that is specific to design and knitwear
  • High technical expertise within knitwear, including diverse knowledge of yarns, gauges, machines and infrastructure
  • Experience in working with high-volume luxury products with added value
  • Overview of the global knitwear market and benchmarks
  • Strong understanding of the AERON brand aesthetic
  • Strong research and creative conceptualization skills
  • Experience in the product categories, knowledge about materials, finishings and techniques
  • Outstanding interest in sustainability, material innovation and new technologies
  • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communications & time management skills
  • Cooperative and a team player with strong social and communication skills


  • Is dynamic and can relate to the fast-paced AERON world
  • Is fluent in English both written and verbally
  • Is not afraid to ask and solve problems with a high degree of autonomy
  • Has the desire to improve products and processes
  • Has a very positive can-do attitude
  • Is organized, precise and respectful of timelines
  • Is willing to relocate to Budapest, Hungary
