Production and Product Development Associate

American Attitudes, located in New York in the heart of the garment center, is a fast-paced leading women’s apparel company with multiple kids, junior, missy, extended sized brands, and licensed collaborations. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is ready to hit the ground running in our brand-new showroom as our Production & Product Development Associate. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is looking for a multi-faceted role and has strong communication and follow-up skills. This role will act as the liaison between our in-house team and our overseas office and vendors. This position has high growth potential for the right candidate!

Responsibilities-

• Order entry and maintenance
• Manage factory WIPs and ensure on time progress to maintain delivery date
• Manage and update daily a well-organized development chart
• Implementing quality standards and compliance requirements
• Manage and track all trim/color/fit approvals
• Issue and approve all branding labels, care labels, and UPC code documents
• Attend production fittings with team
• Daily communication with our overseas office, factory partners, and trim suppliers

Qualifications –

• Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Product Development, Design, Production, or any related fields
• 2-3 years’ experience in fashion apparel preferred
• Understanding of the production process preferred
• Highly organized, able to prioritize & manage multiple tasks at once
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite- specifically Outlook & Excel
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and directly with overseas teams
• Strong analytical skills & data analysis proficiency
• Strong understanding of Fashion Trends in the market required
• Critical thinker and a quick learner
• High energy team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire to grow
• Must be able to be in the office 5 days a week
