Overview

Reporting to the Kids Design Director, the Senior Kids Print Designer is responsible for the creation of unique and inspiring print designs and illustrations which reflect brands ethos and image. The Senior Kids Print Designer will support the Kids Design Director through every aspect of the design process; from research to design, product knowledge and development. This is an exciting and varied role that requires a pro-active individual who thrives in a fast paced and vibrant environment but can remain calm under pressure.

Your Mission:
  • Provide unique, original and inspiring designs to reflect the brand image
  • Working with the Kids Design Director to determine and search the mood of the new collection
  • Colour research and maintaining an accurate working colour palette
  • Inspirational research
  • Responsible for development process of prints
  • Sourcing and matching of colour standards
  • Delivering designs for kids collection pieces
  • Controlling the printing process
  • Analysing trend and sales information to influence designs
  • Communication print design requirements
  • Ensuring print deadlines are met
  • Drawing, painting and illustrations
  • Communicate technical and creative ideas
  • Create mood and trend boards
  • Research of general trends, inspiration as well as details and materials.
  • Assist in any part of the design process required by the Senior Designer
  • Feeding back to Italian product development team


Your Talent:
  • Previous experience of delivering print designs
  • Educated to degree level in design desirable
  • Previous experience of a similar role where they have been required to prioritise and multi-task various and competing demands
  • Highly creative and able to build on inspirations
  • A good communicator with the ability to interface regularly with internal and external personnel at all levels
  • Knowledge of trends
  • Creative thinking
  • Flexible drawing hand
  • Excellent drawing skills
  • Excellent organisation with an ability to manage a changing workload effectively to meet weekly deadlines
  • Previous experience designing, illustration and print
  • Adaptable between designing for boys, girls, babies and teens
  • A calm manner and able to react positively during stressful times and experience in dealing with sensitive information
  • Able to use initiative
  • Ability to work to rigorous deadlines with high pressure and change
  • Understanding of the fashion industry or previous luxury goods experience


Systems and Essentials
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe/ CAD packages and Microsoft Office
