Director of PR
The Director of Public Relations & Communications will lead our public relations, internal and external communication efforts to ensure our company and brand are well positioned in the media and global marketplace. Reporting to the President, the Director will be a strategic leader, driving communications strategies and initiatives, cultivating media and influencer relations, developing thought leadership programs and managing communications issues for the business. We are looking for a seasoned media professional who is creative, agile, and entrepreneurial. We thrive on creative thinking and the right individual will help make Tibi’s philosophy of Creative Pragmatism a new way of talking about fashion.
In partnership with the Creative Director and the Marketing team, the Director will drive top-of-mind brand awareness, successful product launches, and promotional events through various press outlets, social mediums, and key influencers.
>Develop and execute a results-oriented PR strategy and calendar that generates significant media coverage and awareness on our brand and activations to improve brand awareness, drive the business in supporting all revenue channels.
>Maintain relationships with editors and stylists – cultivate new cross-industry relationships.
>Expand media coverage behind fashion and editorial; capable of taking the unique position of Creative Pragmatism and apply it beyond fashion.
>Lead all press and media aspects of organization of the bi-annual runway shows.
>Present new collections and new assortments to the press.
>Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to have a comprehensive understanding of new collections and their importance to the brand narrative.
>Develop and execute partnerships to support the wholesale and DTC revenue channels.
>Leverage existing media and influencer relationships and cultivate new relationships locally, regionally and nationally in the US
>Provide communications support around new story ideas, new initiatives, including clear narratives and messaging.
>Drive internal and external communication channels and content calendaring for the team
>Oversee and manage annual and initiative-specific budgets
>Oversee the ongoing improvement of written communications in PR and media content, leveraging first class writing and editing skills
