The Design Director for Refined Menswear and Standards is responsible for developing the line for USA Wholesale and retail under the direction of the SVP Design Calvin Klein Men's Apparel. He or she will oversee all categories relating to refined including knits and Standards.

  • Work with SVP Design and design team to research and develop concept, fabrics, and designs.
  • Design concepts based on merchandising plan.
  • Attend fittings, and review prototypes.
  • Convey all information to pertinent parties (Sourcing and Merchandising). Also responsible for communicating all necessary information for the technical packages.
  • Prepares design presentations for review meetings.
  • Ensures timely development of line by adhering to time and action calendar.
  • Responsible for organizing relevant information (mill cards, files of Collections etc.).
  • Responsible for the management, selection and training of staff in conjunction with the SVP Design.


Experience: 7-10 years design experience in menswear
  • The design director for knits and refined should have previous contemporary experience leaving the end to end design process for refined and knits menswear
  • Competitive candidates will also have experience managing a team of 3+

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design

  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess high fashion aesthetics.
  • Previous experience working with Asia and Europe.
  • Flexible to travel
