Sr Front End Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Building new features with reusable components and bug fixes.
• Build modern web applications focused on user experience with your UI/UX expertise.
• Ability to work alone but also being a team player when collaborating on a feature and help team members out when they are blocked and are in need of support.
• Always focusing on best practices and improvements.
• Participate in our scrum ceremonies, provide daily updates on status and blockers.
• Participate in various team meetings with business stake holders.
• Review pull requests from other developers.
• Support production issues that arise.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

8+ years technical experience in Software Engineering or Support environment

• Knowledge in preparing and presenting status updates for assigned tasks/features
• Demonstrate excellence in documentation and communication skills
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency, thoroughness and quality towards assigned tasks/goals
• Ability to quickly handle shifting priorities and work towards agreed upon goals and target dates
• Understanding functional and technical specifications, test plans and test cases in support of unit testing
• Knowledge in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting in a support environment

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science or CS or Engineering or related technical fields

Skills:

Specific skills required for Senior Front-End engineer include:

• 4+ years React / Redux experience
• In-depth understanding of JavaScript, ES6, Typescript, the DOM, and relevant concepts
• Proficiency in unit testing platforms such as JEST
• Experience with Node
• Proficiency in building responsive web applications using HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency with browser-based debugging and performance testing
• Strong experience with GIT
• Experience with implementing RESTful API's
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization; Demonstrate broad knowledge in business concepts and processes
• Strong customer, quality, and results orientation
• Ability to articulate complex ideas, comprehend written and verbal communications, and possess excellent presentation skills.

Following skills are not required, but preferred :

• Experience with Java is considered a major plus
• Continuous integration/continuous delivery tools is considered a major plus
• Experience with Scene7
