The Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication department houses fashion business courses covering the full spectrum of the commercial side of fashion at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses recruit high calibre students with strong academic and creative abilities and are designed to develop these talents to ensure our graduate’s unique combinations of skills are well suited for the fashion / creative industries in which they will work.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses to further strengthen our team.  You will also be required to contribute to a range of modules across the subject area and should be able to offer the required attributes as detailed in the attached person specification. 

Your main focus will predominately be on our highly reputable Masters courses; International Fashion Management, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Communication and Luxury Fashion Brand Management whilst also contributing to our 1-year top-up BA (Hons) International Fashion Business course (IFB).  The IFB course is also delivered in Hong Kong by our partner HKDI, and some travel may be required.

You will possess an excellent understanding of the subject as well as knowledge of contextual research and the current professional practice within the global fashion and associated creative industries.  You will have academic and / or industry experience within the area of International Fashion Management and the ability to supervise postgraduate projects.  Your subject knowledge will cover; International Fashion Management, Fashion Business Management and Supply Chain, Global Fashion Business and Fashion Retail, Fashion Sustainability and Fashion Buying and Merchandising

Ideally you will possess the experience and skills required to act as Course Leader and take responsibility for the management, planning, design, and development of our PG courses.

You will hold a relevant degree in a related subject area, ideally coupled with postgraduate qualifications or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development.  A qualification in the HE sector is also an advantage.
