Junior Product Developer

As Junior PD you will be part of our small Design and Sampling team, working closely with our in house Pattern Cutting team at an international multi product womenswear label. The range consists of Dresses, Skirts, Tops, Trousers and Outerwear. 

You will be involved in the entire product development process, from sampling to production handover.

Fantastic organisational, and communication skills are essential, as it is a fast paced environment where we produce six collections per annum. 

Main Responsibilities:

Tracking each style throughout development, from delivery of fabrication and trims to factory sampling, in order to maintain the sampling critical path.

Creation of spec sheets to include flat technical drawing, accurate trim sheet and make information.

Participation in fit meetings.

Working on sourcing needs for the collection, and developing trims.

Managing garment fabric consumptions.

System / data entry. Using Zedonk system.

The Ideal Candidate

A candidate with at least two years’ experience working in a Development department, at a womenswear label. Premium or luxury brand experience preferred.

Experience working with Far East manufacturers is preferred.

Key computer skills: Excel, Zedonk,  Illustrator.

Strong understanding of garment construction, patterns and manufacturing methods.

Knowledge of different fabrics, experience working with print and embroidery.

Excellent attention to detail.

Efficiently work within a fast paced environment which requires great work ethic and flexibility.

Ability to communicate with a professional and positive attitude in house and with suppliers and manufacturers.

Willingness to participate and excel within a team environment.
