Location:     Washington, D.C.
Salary:         Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.
Reports to:  Daphne Anthos, Vice President of Planning & Strategy 

Position Overview
The Planner is responsible for maximizing sales by running and analyzing reports, developing merchandise plans that fall in line with Founders and Director’s financial goals and plans to support company goals for sales, turn and margin.

Core Responsibilities

  • Help ensure the financial success of all departments and categories by meeting or exceeding sales, gross  margin, and inventory turn goals
  • Develop and report on vendor plans and performance, weekly, monthly, seasonally 
  • Partner with Buyers, Planners, Directors & VP to develop and maintain vendor plans and open to buy that roll up to the total company open to buy
  • Develop and report on category plans and performance, weekly, monthly, seasonally and partner with Buyers and Director on category strategies
  • Analyze pre-season buys to identify holes in buyers assortments 
  • Analyze sales daily, weekly, monthly to recommend to the buyers reorders for fast movers or initiate markdowns  
  • Manage flow of inventory and help execute accordingly
  • Identify inventory levels needed to support replenishments and the markdown strategy for merchandise based on sell-through percent and planned product life span
  • Analyze and report on previous quarters results; identify missed sales, and growth drivers over prior  year with buyers
  • Manage size curves and work with Buyers to update accordingly 
  • Partner with Directors (Operations & Buying/Planning) to run reports and actualize monthly Open To Buy
  • Run Reports and support data for all team members as needed

Minimum Qualifications 

  • At least 2-4 years of planning experience
