JOB PURPOSE

A unique opportunity to join our DE&I team based in Horseferry House. Within this role you will conceptualise, develop and deliver the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and projects for Burberry. You will represent HR as a strategic advisor for DE&I elements, for cross-functional programmes and Burberry as the DE&I conduit to identify and establish partnership relationships aligned to our global DE&I strategy and vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role partners with senior HR stakeholders across multiple geographies, alongside partnering closely with leaders from across Burberry business to continually evolve, drive and deliver on our global D,E&I goals. It is an imperative skill to be able to navigate a creative business, build strong relationships and influence within and across all levels of the business.

This role reports into our VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and will be working closely with broader HR team and our advisory networks, representing our DE&I spirit and ambition.
  • Design strategic partnership governance model and implement to support the attraction, retention and promotion of an inclusive culture.
  • Build relationships with external partners aligned to our current global strategy.
  • Forward thinking to identify key partnerships that enhance our global DE&I strategy and give us focus on the initiative that will deliver on our DE&I goals.
  • Partner with Data Analytics to create a viable dashboard/scorecards of our DE&I metrics to monitor and track the progress of our DE&I initiative and ensure a positive ROI has been achieved
  • Initiate and drive measurements to identify gaps, then provide guidance to create proactive solutions and drive success in achieving DE&I goals.
  • Strategic engagement and collaboration with Burberry communications and engagement team to share DE&I initiatives, drive engagement and amplify key internal and external messages.
  • Set strategy for employee led groups such as ERG's internal council & Cultural Advisory Council.
  • Work with Team Coordinator to complete benchmark submissions (Stonewall, Ethnicity Maturity Matrix etc) and develop feedback loop to business to inform and improve strategy and data collection.
  • Partner with HRD and HRBPs to guide, support and develop collateral and people initiatives that embeds inclusion across Burberry
  • Line management of team coordinator
  • Develop key stakeholder knowledge, understanding and expertise on inclusion
  • Participate in other D&I related projects as required
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the VP of D&I


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experience and understanding of D&I strategies to attract, engage, support and hire diverse groups of candidates.
  • Experience developing relationships with external partners, communities, and networks to strengthen organisational D&I initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of interpretation and analysis of data across several mediums ( Internal people data, benchmark, research)
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of project management & change management practices
  • Experiences of delivering multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Strong communications skills (written & presentation)
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  • An interest in fashion
