Position Overview
Associate Designer for Womens Intimates & Sleepwear licensing, supporting both Ralph Lauren and Licensing team in design and development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Own resource management between Licensee and Ralph Lauren Sportswear team, gathering fabrics, garments, and other resources from team members and ensuring all assets are successfully passed to the Licensee
* Manage palette needs between both Pantone and CSI color libraries, matching standards and pulling colors for dipping
* CAD Art - Work with Ralph Lauren team and Licensing team to create CAD art that matches the style of Ralph Lauren design boards and accurately represents garment construction
* Continuously update CADs as design changes are made. Create and maintain a library of CAD bodies. Mock-up any print or color pitches for design meetings
* Print Work - Research seasonal print needs. Pull print options from physical print archives for review with team. Do external vintage print research or set up buying appointments if necessary
* Note Taking and Digital Asset Distribution - Take detailed notes at all design meetings and distribute to Licensing and Special Project teams. Share our most up-to-date design boards following design meetings
* Competitive Research - Research market trends, competitive and new brands, silhouettes, and fabrications. Compile seasonal decks of brand appropriate research
* Support Ralph Lauren Concept team to grow brand knowledge. Pitch concept research to the concept team, assist in building of seasonal concept decks for the design team

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Degree or Experience in Fashion or related field preferred
* Excellent Computer Skills in Adobe Suite
* Experience with creating Fashion CADs
* Skilled eye for color and print
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Interest in sleepwear and intimates
* Affinity for the Ralph Lauren aesthetic #LI-CE
