The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for New York City visual merchandising of retail accounts to align with marketing strategies aimed at driving business. Utilizing clear communication and strong attention to detail, this individual has a sensitivity to luxury to partner with retail teams and across internal departments, and will be based in New York.
The role reports to the Retail VM coordinator.

  • Manage visual calendar to prepare for installations or floor changes in the following locations: (Boutiques) 57th Street, Brookfield, Soho and support in other NY retail doors.
  • Execute and supervise interior changeovers and installations for store or store(s) listed above, including by not limited to construction of any interior/ window sets, on-site prop handling and prop placement
  • Supervise and manage daily interior set maintenance for store(s), this includes repositioning mannequins, re-propping and sourcing alternative product for interior presentations
  • Conduct walkthroughs of locations, identifying opportunities to improve overall visual and creative appearnce of the site
  • Work hand in hand with merchandising and retail team in order to understand company and store needs and then create floor mapping with store set up proposals in preparaion of the actual store set up
  • Follow marketing requirement to implement any planned projects
  • Provide active support to store events.

  • 1/2+ years of experience in visual merchandising and/or visual presentation/ display/ fine art/ fashion styling experience
  • Flexibility to work outside standard working hours (i.e. evenings after 9pm and weekends)
  • Proficient in Power Point, Word, Excel and Photoshop

  • Ability to balance multiple projects (maintenance and installations) at once
  • Strong prioritization skills, with an ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sensitivity to luxury aesthetic
  • Dynamic, innovative and a strong fashion sense
