About the Role

The Data & Analytics team at Gap Inc. applies Analytics, Insights & Business Intelligence techniques to drive business benefits for Gap Inc. and its brands. We follow a hub & spoke model, where some team members are dedicated to specific Brands/ areas of the business, while others build capabilities that cut across. The team's focus is creating analytical capabilities that drive all areas of the business but central to our success as a company, is our People and the Talent they bring to the organization.

Reporting to the SVP of Data Science & Analytics, we are seeking a Senior Director of People Analytics to join our team.

What You'll Do

  • Create the north star vision, mission & roadmap for People Analytics at Gap Inc., in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Translate business and talent goals into measurable KPIs and Metrics to deliver effective outcomes for our customers.
  • Define the personas among stakeholders, understand their challenges and formulate strategies to solve those challenges.
  • Interpret data, formulate hypothesis, and provide insights & recommendations to HR leadership. Influences and advises partners.
  • Lead a team of analytics professionals in a hybrid operating model, to derive insights and translate data into thoughtful and actionable recommendations for People & Culture leadership.

Who You Are

  • Visionary leader with a passion for hypothesis led thinking and data driven business decisions.
  • 15+ years of experience in the People & Culture/ People Analytics space.
  • Strong collaborator with excellent relationship building skills. Ability to understand both the data and progressive discipline of HR.
  • Proven track record in identifying, retaining, and developing top talent required to build and sustain a diverse, high performing team.
  • Energized by challenges and motivated to set and exceed stretch goals for self and team.
  • Passion for deriving insights from data and storytelling with data.
  • Experience with working in highly matrixed organizations, ideally in Retail.
