About the Role

The GapTech and Digital recruiting team supports a technology organization that is made up of thousands of technologists across the globe who try fast, learn fast and think big for our customers, communities and the planet. The organization drives innovative retail, e-commerce, and global enterprise technology for Gap, Inc. and our brands (Athleta, Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy).

As a Senior Recruiter working in our Digital Recruiting team, you will make an impact as a key contributor, hiring specialized technical talent to work across functions including Product Management, Product Marketing, UX/UI, Data Science & Analytics.

You will work as a key advisor to functional stakeholders including Hiring Managers, HR & Compensation by developing strategies to approach, engage, and hire the best.

The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles and will work as a strategic talent advisor to their hiring teams. Coming to the table with an informed point-of-view on the talent pool, interview best practices, assessment criteria, and the competitive market.

The recruiting team is distributed across the US and enjoys working in a fun, highly collaborative way to support the business.  This experienced team is building out process and efficiencies as we scale our tech and digital organizations.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the hiring managers and/business unit leader to understand hiring requirements eeds
  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting for our Digital & Technology functions from initial outreach through offer, for simultaneous, complex searches
  • Build innovative sourcing and engagement strategies, driving and managing candidate pipelines to and support our commitment to building diverse teams
  • Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional internal teams/ partners


  • Maintain data integrity, in the ATS, proactively sharing data-centric updates with internal stakeholders and utilizing insights to improve recruiting efficiency and influence hiring decisions
  • Clear communication (written and verbal) with business partners and hiring managers to establish timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes


Who You Are

  • 5+ years of full lifecycle Technical and/or Digital recruiting experience in a corporate or agency environment.
  • Experience utilizing social networking tools (i.e. LinkedIn, Stack overflow, etc). and boolean search. Has a strong understanding of market conditions and creative usage of your network


  • Extensive proactive sourcing experience with a focus on building diverse pipeline.
  • Ability to build and execute recruiting strategies from scratch. Ability to make recommendations to hiring managers as it relates to market intel, candidate profiles and potential search roadblocks
  • Dedicated focus to candidate experience, keeping top active or passive candidates engaged with the brand.


  • Superior interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with all levels in the organization.to develop a trusted partnership
