The Team

This position is part of the Global Creative Services team. The Global Creative Services Team is responsible for setting and executing creative brand direction when it comes to physical consumer touchpoints. Included in this are Global Retail, Wholesale, Pop-ups, Windows, and In-Store experiences.

The Position:

The Retail Concept Designer reports into the Director Retail Concept Design and will work with other team members on multiple projects, supporting Senior designers on bigger projects and new concept developments and you will be leading smaller projects like a pop-up or a premium store. You will be an integral part of the team to develop and execute the best possible design solutions to the highest standards. The position requires a balance between creative, technical and analytical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work proactively and collaboratively within the Tommy Hilfiger retail Concept Design team to develop new store concepts and create all required information so these concepts can be executed globally by creating and guiding the development of guidelines and standards for full-price, shop-in-shop and outlet stores
  • Support local teams in store development on execution of projects
  • Support the team with concept work, design development and other required tasks
  • Provide scalable, technical details/solutions for new developments and fixture/furniture that meets aestetic, technical and budget requirements
  • Develop fixtures and design, with oversight from other team members, from concept design to prototyping and create the relevant documentation to execute
  • Visualise and render your amnd the team's designs to present to our stakeholders
  • Support on design administration


The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 4 years' design experience working at a design agency or in a brand environment
  • A good balance between creative, technical and analytical thinking.
  • The ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English as it is the working language of the company
  • Good knowledge of retail design, experience design and the retail environment
  • Results oriented person with a strong focus on high quality delivery
  • University degree in Design or Architecture or related qualification
  • Good understanding of detailing, value engineering and knowledge in use of materials for interior design and furniture construction
  • Understanding of commercial requirements and brand equity requirements are a plus
  • Ability to take direction, efficient communication, organization, time management, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Positive, enthusiastic and proactive personality
  • Good, AutoCAD, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop and related software skills
  • Rendering skills, Revit knowledge are a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
