POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of Sr. Business Development and Investor Relations Analyst supports both the Corporate Strategy / Business Development team and Investor Relations team in research, presentation and investor targeting projects, as well as financial, data and peer analyses. This individual will play a critical role in PVH's corporate strategy and business development efforts by supporting the teams that develop strategic plans, evaluate new opportunities and drive operational efficiencies. The teams work with senior management and across functions and brands.

Responsibilities will include helping to conduct investor-focused analyses, developing investor messaging and supporting investor events. In addition, responsibilities will include analyzing financial statements, developing financial models and researching sector trends and companies for business development and corporate strategy initiatives. This role will work closely with the IR + Strategy teams to support a robust investor relations strategy in fostering strong external relationships with the investment community and successfully communicating the PVH Corp financial and strategic objectives.

The position will support two fast-paced teams, where multi-tasking, attention to detail and managing a number of discrete tasks are critical to success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Analyze business data sets or financial statements and build financial models for business development and corporate strategy initiatives
  • Analyze and summarize earnings and news releases from PVH's peer
  • Prepare written materials and presentations as needed
  • Research and monitor industry trends and M&A activity
  • Co support with investor targeting projects
  • Co support in all facets of corporate strategy and planning, special strategic projects and business development activities.
  • Use experience and judgement in helping to support the department with business strategy and discussion as well as leaning into the conversation surrounding recommendation on transaction decision and terms.
  • Support presentations and deck building for BOD and Sr. Management / internal team for strategic direction / LT plans strengths, weakness/opportunities and threats of transactions.
  • Analyze market activity to support investor relations initiatives
  • Aggregate, synthesize, and articulate these findings fluently (written/verbally)
  • Support an in-depth understanding of our industry and business prospects across several industry sectors

Experience:

  • Previous business / finance experience
  • 3+ years in investment banking or equity research in consumer / retail

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, economics or finance

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the industry and market trends, competitive intelligence and consumers
  • Strong understanding of operational, accounting, tax, legal, financing and human resource implications of a potential transaction
  • Highly organized and thoughtful with exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create executive level materials with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of FactSet a plus
  • Good understanding of financial statements
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Proactive, curious and positive
  • Dependable and responsible team player
