SUMMARY

Wearecurrentlyseeking a VP Real Estate for the Americas Regionwhowill report to theGroup Real Estate Director and to the President of Kering Americas. This position will be based in New York.

The VP Real Estate for the AmericasRegion will help develop, plan, negotiate and execute the regional retail distribution strategy as well as corporate real estate strategy within a multi-channel environment. This is a strategic role that will work closely and partner with Regional Presidents and COOs, Retail Vice Presidents, Finance, Legal and Store Planning functions both at brand and corporate level, as well as external real estate partners.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
  • To support all Group's brands and corporate teams in their real estate and retail development needs across the region:
  • Evaluate, select and negotiate commercial terms and lease provisions for retail, office, warehouse and showroom openings, closings, relocations, renegotiations and renewals.
  • Direct all negotiations with landlords, developers, brokers and lawyers while developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Partner with brand and Kering Corporate retail, store planning, construction, legal and finance teams on site feasibility, lease and investment negotiations and timing.
  • To take care of all aspects of tenant and administrative management of Kering owned and leased property portfolio, which together preserve the operational efficiency of workspace and optimize its performance for both Group and external occupiers.
  • To manage a team of real estate managers.
  • To support the team's management in producing systems, tools and processes that improve Kering Real Estate efficiency and ensure that all Group stakeholders receive timely, accurate and comprehensive information which allows them to make informed decisions.
  • To recognize retail and leasing trends in the industry and maintain in-depth knowledge of competitors.


WHO YOU ARE
  • A candidate with at least 15 years' professional experience working within the Americas region in a real estate role, with a strong exposure to the US market,
  • Someone from a fashion retailer, a consulting firm, investment fund or property company,
  • Business Administration, economics, law or architecture university degree preferred; MBA is a plus,
  • Comprehensive knowledge of leasing process, negotiations, contract review, industry terminology and financial modelling
  • Ability to communicate effectively to local and central executive/leadership teams as well as cross-functional departments and partners across the entire organization
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, agility and efficiency
  • Entrepreneurial approach to assess and proactively source market opportunities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excel and PowerPoint working knowledge required, willing to learn new tools
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of database management and/or project management systems a plus
  • Real Estate brokerage license a plus
  • Fluent English, Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese or French) a plus
  • Frequent domestic and international travel to required market areas
