Position Overview
Material Associate in her/his role will asssist Raw Materials Regional Manager with Design and Product Development Team for Accessories on research and development of seasonal materials (leathers and fabrics) and special techniques (prints, laser, woven, embroideries).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Main Tasks and Responsabilities: Work with the regional leather technician to coordinate the sourcing of materials at tanneries and follow up on development with the suppliers · Set up of new suppliers in VMS System and create mill cards in PLM · Update the Samples chart in Air Table system with material descriptions, prices and materials consumption. · Coordinate lab dip submittals and approvals for samples materials and keep record in library. · Manage the material test for samples and coordinate with lab. · Place Material sample orders to suppliers and support factories ordering raw materials and components on their behalf for development. · Validate prices with the suppliers and update the raw materials price list in AT System. · Launch the counter source of materials and techniques for samples and production if requested. · Keep updated the AT system w corrections and changes after line review · Ensure the industrialization of techniques for production · Interface with Production team to analyze bulk projections and ensure the hand off to procurement department for Bulk Materials Pre-commitments · Provide approved RM master for production to suppliers and vendors and keep record in the library.
