The Assistant Promotions Manager is responsible executing the Marketed and ad hoc events for the Neiman Marcus website. This includes the Regular Price and Markdown events, which includes - categorization, attribution, and visual merchandising for all major promotional events. The ideal candidate will have a retail background and the ability to be flexible and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment. The Promotion Assistant partners with the marketing, site production, buying and creative teams in a collaborative way to execute and manage our promotional calendar and give customers the most optimal shopping experience. This role reports to the Site Promotions Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Owns the promotion process - opening jobs, creating event briefs, defining the site content, including event categories.
  • Owns the web markdown process. Works in PlumSlice & Catman to validate Image and Copy for items are ready for the markdown event.
  • Works closely with Central Price Management to create Omni promotion events to achieve cohesive event for customers shopping online and in stores.
  • Understands the end-to-end flow of products to the site and identifies and escalates areas of opportunity as needed. Requires thought leadership in identifying where items are getting stuck in the setup process delaying the load to site and communicating those concerns with the goal of improving in the future.
  • Will need to be adaptable as we transition into a new promotion engine. Going through trainings and be flexible as we learn and understand how the new system will affect our current process.
  • Create new best practices as we learn and adjust to the new promotion tool. Partnering with Site Production and Product teams for enhancements and new functionality

  • 1-3 Years' experience in an eCommerce or buying office environment
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated attention-to-detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Product Suite, advanced proficiency with Excel preferred
  • Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business need, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
