JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work on Beauty Product & Gifting category. The success of this role will be driven by their ability to collaborate, manage multiple and varied briefs at any one time, have an excellent understanding of product design processes as well as the ability to work autonomously in a pressurised and fast-paced environment.
The Beauty product & gifting category covers the following areas:
· Bespoke New Product (Fragrance, Make-up, Home)
· Bespoke Beauty Accessory gifts
· Limited Editions and Product Extensions i.e. Festive collections, EDT, EDPs
· Retail Packaging
· Gift packaging (seasonal, influencer, in-store gift wrap, gif sets etc.)
· Sampling collateral
· Collateral for in-store acitvations
· Graphic Design function for the wider Beauty team
· Advertising Guidelines
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Be the point of contact for all product & gifting briefs in terms of status, delivery and forward planning, having full knowledge of key deadlines, priorities and processes
· Take projects from concept stage through to final execution, owning timings end-to-end but with a flexible and common-sense approach
· Upfront planning of Coty briefs and identification of resource required to deliver the work.
· Excellent stake holder management both internally and externally up to director level (Coty, print suppliers, modelamakers etc.)
· Accurately and confidently communicate creative ideas to Coty teams and suppliers on behalf of the creative team when required
· Proficient in navigating through differing stakeholder priorities, helping trouble-shoot and reach alignment between all parties e.g. creative, marketing, R&D, pack, legal
· Connect with the wider Beauty creative team where applicable to ensure a cohestive and consistent 360
· Work on clear critical path timings and process documentation to ensure the smooth running of projects and to provide clear communication to the wider teams
· Be a brand guardian and ensure creative work is presented in an appropriate manner to facilitate approvals with internal direction/CCO and Coty
· Traffic manage all briefs, communication and tasks between Coty and the design team
· General budget management/tracking
PERSONAL PROFILE
· Solid previous experience working within a project management capacity, ideally in the Luxury Fashion or Beauty sector
· Excellent understanding of product design processes with a strong understanding of luxury branding
· Extremely organised with a focus on timely delivery, strong stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills
· Experience of working directly with art directors, designers, artworkers, supply chain and external companies on both large and smaller scale projects
· Excellent at interrogating briefs, sifting through information and providing clarity on dependencies and timings; as well as facilitating decision making with key stakeholders
· A passionate understanding of product development process, from concept through to prototyping and industrial production
· Ability to look at a project from a creative, as well as a technical point of view, understanding what is required, and how to achieve it within COTY cost constraints
· Excellent stakeholder management with strong ability to drive forward positively, ensuring constant alignment between teams throughout
· Will have first class interpersonal skills - especially meeting management, facilitation and written communications
· Proactive in identifying issues, exploring and proposing innovative solutions
· Will have the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a pressurised and fast paced environment, with strong attention to detail
