THE ROLE & THE TEAM
We are currently looking for a Head of the Operations and Partner Consulting teams within Connected Network. In this position, you will play a key role leading strategic projects, providing superior support to our Partners and building and growing the business in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader, has a background in Supply Chain and is familiar with e-com and/or 3PL/Fulfillment services. This person can deal with a high degree of ambiguity, develop long-term strategies to scale, is analytical and process minded, and effective at implementing solutions and driving teams towards common business goals. The candidate should be a strong leader; be able to motivate and mentor a diverse group of people/leaders. WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED
  • You will be leading and mentoring a group of team leaders and their directs, ensuring they understand the business priorities, are focused on achieving business outcomes, and are being challenged to develop in their careers.
  • You are responsible to develop and execute on operational strategies that support our planned business growth. You are expected to define KPIs and review business metrics on a weekly basis and make decisions on what actions to take to improve and address opportunities.
  • You are responsible for shared ownership of key KPIs impacting the overall P&L of ZFS.
  • You are responsible for the Operational budget/costs of our Fulfillment Solutions. You will be creating yearly budget plans for logistics KPIs and for headcount planning. You are an integral part of both annual and half year planning cycles, working closely with leadership and controlling.
  • You are responsible for a service organization that ensures our partners receive optimal support for the B2B services we are offering. This includes identification of new services and continuously improving the support quality for our partners.
  • You are expected to define and drive roadmaps, including both operational and technology improvements.
  • You are responsible for ensuring scalability of our operational processes.
  • You are expected to work collaboratively to manage the business and drive improvements with teams outside of Connected Network, including but not limited to, Customer Fulfillment and Zalando Direct.
  • You are responsible for building and managing a pre-sales & implementation team which is expected to collaborate with B2B partners and the sales organization, understanding their challenges and needs, managing their expectations, define new business opportunities, such as warehouse set-ups, integration partners, and working with supporting teams to deliver these capabilities, and ensuring we are providing optimal support.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
  • Supply Chain and e-com logistics is your expertise.
  • You have experience in building and managing strong B2B client relationships.
  • You are customer focused, with experience delivering exceptional service and solutions to B2B partners.
  • You have experience building a new organization and/or service offering.
  • You are able to work with ambiguity and have an entrepreneurial, conceptual, analytical, and optimization mindset.
  • You are an experienced leader with minimum 5 years of experience building, developing and leading large teams. You have proven experience as a ‘leader of leads’.
  • You have a proven track record with optimization projects where you have been involved from the solution development to implementation. A plus is if you have a certified process improvement and/or project management qualification.
  • You have experience working in a matrixed organization, collaborating closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams to deliver results, such as Technology, Controlling and Commercial teams.
