JOB PURPOSE

The IT Portfolio Analyst will help manage the overall health and delivery of Burberry's IT portfolio. This includes:
  • Providing support across project and portfolio management functions including procurement, finance, comms, governance and resource management
  • Inviting and identifying options for organisational, process or technology improvements to benefit the wider IT teams


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Senior Manager IT Portfolio in managing the overall IT Portfolio.
  • Proactively support multiple IT Towers across Procurement, Resource, Financial, Partner and Portfolio Management
  • Drive adherence to the Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) and promote use of our core templates, artefacts and tools (including Shibumi)
  • Assist in defining the necessary programme and project management templates, artefacts and tools
  • Liaise with IT tower leads and other stakeholders to continuously review the performance of the portfolio
  • Define, produce and support monthly performance reports and dashboards for IT towers to support better financial management, cross-tower collaboration and governance
  • Manage a centralised governance approach to ensure that programme and project decisions are made collaboratively, and with the necessary representation from business functions and IT towers
  • Identify cross-project risk and collaborate with Programme Managers and Project Managers to identify risk acceptance, risk sharing, risk mitigation, or risk avoidance actions
  • Collate and report on portfolio financials including initial estimates, budgets and forecasts
  • Provide training and guidance on our finance, procurement and HR processes to our portfolio delivery teams
  • Support regular and ad hoc information requests
  • Ensure that lessons learned are defined, documented, and shared in a consistent and repeatable manner, to ensure continuous improvement and to prevent recurrence of common issues
  • Help shape IT's approach to governing agile/continuous delivery projects and how this differs from the current waterfall-based governance methodology.
  • Update and maintain the IT ALL Sharepoint site as our home for IT knowledge, awareness, processes, procedures, templates and best-practice artefacts
  • Partner closely with the wider tower team, Finance, HR and Procurement to develop and drive process improvements, automation and impactful partnering with IT Towers


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • A proven track record of stakeholder management. The individual should have both the tact and ability to converse and when required challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading initiatives or projects in dynamic and fast paced environments
  • Good experience across any aspects of portfolio management, project management, business support and administration, retail, finance or procurement
