Fall 2022 Public Relations & Sample Intern

Role Summary:

The AREA Marketing & PR department is looking for a fall Public Relations and Sample Intern to start 9/6 (2-3 times a week). Candidates must be extremely driven, detail-oriented, and punctual. Applicants must be eligible for school credit.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with sample trafficking & inventory management, including runs in the city
• Showroom organization support
• Press coverage tracking and logging
• Photoshoot and event support

What You Will Do

• Help Organize/manage/maintain SMS & press samples, sample trafficking database, and storage/archive of current and past collections
• Support external PR agency in day-to-day activities ranging from credit requests, sample availability and approval requests etc.
• Support the Digital Director in all preparations needed ahead of collection style outs, e-comm/campaign shoots, and events
• Support with the execution of brand activations such as sample sale, runway show, launch dinners etc.
• Understanding and interest in industry-related news

Skills Required 

• Knowledge of shipping and creating labels through various couriers (FedEx, DHL, UPS)
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, word and excel)
• Fashion GPS
• Able to handle physical requirements of position which includes but is not limited to standing, bending, reaching, and lifting to 50 lbs.
