The Marketing Lead is responsible for supporting Violet Grey's growth and expansion by driving brand awareness, conversion and retention. This role requires high-level strategic and creative thinking, planning, and budget management along with luxury fashion or Beauty knowledge. Based in Los Angeles or New York, the Marketing Lead will build strong performance campaigns leveraging our internal agency Farfetch Platform Services (FPS), and the Violet Grey resources. This role is responsible for developing and implementing an efficient and sustainable acquisition strategy, as well as working in tandem with the Senior Director of Brand to strengthen the CRM capabilities at Violet Grey. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, results-driven, and hands-on. A strong background in paid media, as well as a deep brand sensibility, is required.


    • You will have hands-on management of Violet Grey's performance marketing by leveraging FPS, with a strong emphasis on driving efficient growth of e-commerce sales.
    • You will own performance campaigns across various channels (all Paid, Display, SEO, Affiliates, Email, SMS...).
    • You will manage and own the FPS relationship.
    • You will validate and approve recommendations on Performance Marketing strategy.
    • You will plan, execute and optimize the budget to meet growth goals in revenue, customer acquisition, site traffic, and lead generation.
    • You will drive incremental value through strategic planning and deep learning.
    • You will validate and approve recommendations on SEO strategy. Cross-checking and updating metadata for go-live.
    • You will work closely with the Senior Director of Brand and the FPS team to set and meet acquisition goals while ensuring they are aligned with brand and revenue strategies.
    • You will identify and execute new growth opportunities and best practices based on emerging digital trends, data, and consumer insight.
    • You will create strong, iterative testing structures for creative, messaging, and audiences to continuously learn and optimize our campaigns.
    • You will own reporting, sharing recent trends, challenges, and opportunities to all stakeholders.
    • You will lead cross-functional effort; managing the holistic digital marketing lifecycle: Closely partnering with the Head of Commercial to measure the impact of our campaigns on sales and develop ways to scale.
    • You will collaborate with the Creative team to develop on-brand and best-in-class creative assets and messaging.
    • You will partner with the Head of Platform to optimize on-site acquisition and conversion.


    • You have knowledge and experience in digital marketing, advertising, or publishing organizations, with a thorough understanding of online business models.
    • You have experience in building and managing a marketing portfolio; understand how channels work against each other across customer journeys; knowledgeable in marketing attribution and journey optimization.
    • You have deep expertise in social platforms including but not limited to Meta, Alphabet, and TikTok.
    • You have experience with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics and a strong ability to articulate and present analysis to all levels of management.
    • Having experience with FPS is a strong plus.
    • You understand the importance of incrementality in marketing, experienced in scaling and optimizing the marketing activities to capitalize on opportunities.
    • You have excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
    • You have strong problem-solving abilities, are result-driven, and organized, and possess a strong ability to adapt to change and thrive within a high-growth organization.
    • You are entrepreneurial and digitally savvy, with exceptional analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills.
