Job Details

Overview: This analyst will be responsible for creating models based on available retail KPIs such as sales, units, conversion, staffing, average unit retail, etc. This person will be asked to analyze and synthesize retail KPIs and create valuable insights to drive business and prioritize results. In addition, the Analyst will work closely with their director and other functional groups such as Retail Performance, Retail Learning, Internal Communication and Merchandising to tie back insights to key company initiatives and priorities.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales Analytics to Drive Performance
  • Consolidate sales data by store and pull together top line insights
  • Create models based on historical data to forecast future performance
  • Partner with Merchandising departments to link overall top line store performance to product category performance
  • Build trend analysis comparing multiple stores
  • Work closely with workforce planning to understand effective rostering and its impact on the business

Ad-hoc Reporting and Functional Support
  • Pull data from various sources to improve decision making and analytics
  • Partner with Client Analytics team to find correlations and trends in retail and client KPIs
  • Provide reporting to different corporate groups as needed

Incentive Analysis Support
  • Assist in developing and managing incentive programs above and beyond regular commission scheme to reinforce areas of the business
  • Partner closely with Achieve team (incentive management) to tie back sales performance to incentive rules


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Must be analytical and very detail oriented
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required, analytics tools experience preferred
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong client-centricity - with understanding of target client
  • Experience in sales analysis, reporting and finance
  • Analytics tools such as Tableau or IBM's Cognos
