Associate Sourcing Manager, Accessories - CALVIN KLEIN

POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Manager is responsible for sourcing in conjunction with the product development process under the direction of the Sourcing Manager/Director Sourcing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Responsible for creating and maintaining development and production chart(s)
• Responsible for post Buy review reconciliation w/Merchant and Operation team
• Calendar management to all development milestone dates
• Responsible for scheduling and calendarizing all Sourcing owned meetings
• Issue Target freight on board and seasonal projections to off shore office/factories.
• Responsible for negotiating and confirming all costs related to managed product; inclusive of cost engineering options, material alternatives
• Monitor production and material minimum order quantity issues. Maintain and manage liability reports
• Daily follow up with vendors and off shore offices on all development & production issues
• Track all lab dips, strike-offs & prototypes and pre-production samples and check if samples are made correctly
• Manage all Pre-Production sample review and approvals
• Daily interaction with design on all product details and issues.
• Initiate and follow up with Customs Compliance teams seasonally
• Initiate and follow up on special marketing for managed product
• Manage outgoing/incoming shipments of packages and documents
• Participate as required on corporate and department business initiatives and special projects
• Builds collaborative relationship with cross functional team members
• Strong communication skills in order to interact with designers, buyers, regional and Dongguan offices, agents, vendors

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 3+ years development and production experience in handbags & accessories

Education: College degree

Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative in busy environment.
