The Team

Based in Amsterdam, the Global Demand Planning Manager will manage a team of EMEA and IM (International Market) demand planners who are responsible for the monthly demand process consisting of demand planning, commercial targets, budgeting and assortment planning. The role is tasked with connecting the EMEA demand outcome with the International markets demand plans, leading to global insights on the overall Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans Demand for the NOS business.

The Position

The Global Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for driving the monthly demand forecast in close collaboration with key Regional Demand Planning and Sales teams, internal Markets and Product Merchandising teams, as well as insights gathered through market knowledge and quantitative analysis. As well as working on process alignment between the brand, finance, channel and regional planning teams to ensure the best possible outcome. Connecting main inputs into a ‘best in class’ demand plan and commercial NOS assortment.

The main stakeholders will be EU Regional Planning teams, Channel planning teams, IM NOS planner. Market- and Product Merchandisers, General Merchandise, Business control / finance and Merch Ops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the demand process for the various NOS lifestyle businesses with a strong focus on connecting all financial and commercial targets.

  • Oversee the Global demand planning process and align the processes across multiple regions.

  • Connect the demand plan with the Integrated Demand Plan (IDP), as part of the E2E planning light beam.

  • Optimize reporting on budgets, assortments, sales and demand.

  • Provide proposals on process improvements and adjustments

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Participate in projects related with NOS and E2E planning (Blue Yonder / Integrated Demand Planning).

  • Support the BPO group and business by analyzing processes and best practices, pursuing effective structures and ways of working, and drive alignment across lifestyle labels/divisions.

  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Educated to bachelor/masters level; Education background: Supply Chain Management, Commerce/ Business Management, Economics, or any related quantitative field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Demand Planning,  Supply Planning, Merchandise Planning, Retail Planning etc.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Understanding of forecast error metrics.

  • Skills in gathering, interpreting and visualizing data.

  • Ability to work autonomously and to take ownership of tasks.

  • Team Management skills

  • Ambitious, passionate and personable.

  • Proficiency with MS office and advance skills in Excel (Experience with SAP and Advanced planning systems is a plus).

  • Fluent in English.
