Fashion Design Intern Description: Deity New York is looking for someone to assist and work with our design team and their daily tasks and responsibilities.  This will require all aspects of design research, concepting and execution of final technical packages. Since we are a start up, having the flexibility to adjust quickly and be self resourceful will be key. An understanding of luxury retail and aesthetic is a must!

What you will you do: You'll be working under the designer's direction day to day. Work will spread across fabric sourcing with overseas factories, organizing and maintaining the fabric library, taking care of day to day shipments that come in, sketching flats in Illustrator, management of designs in Excel, coloring CADs for presentations, trend research + maintaining development charts

Qualifications: Experience in fashion or e-commerce is a plus. At least one year related experience/ Internship experience preferred, minimum 4 years of Adobe Illustrator experience, minimum 3 years of Fashion design experience, must have a strong portfolio.

This position will be great experience for those interested in a career as a fashion designer, willing to work their way through the field. We are looking for serious candidates who are excited by the opportunity to build with a luxury brand. The right candidates will have the option to expand their role as the company grows.

Additionally, we are looking for candidates based exclusively in New York City and can travel into the office Monday through Friday. Do not apply if you can not do this.
