A Day in the Life:

The typical day is... atypical. You might be:

• Developing the vision and strategy for a secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platform that supports the needs of our omni channel business
• The systems thinker who can guide the technology organization on optimizing our software development lifecycle through the right platform architecture
• Improving engineering effectiveness through the right investments in our developer productivity tools and software
• Partnering cross-functionally with program stakeholders in the tech organization to provide strategic and tactical thought leadership while effectively driving project delivery
• Designing, developing, and managing complex integrated plans across interdependent enterprise programs in a dynamic environment that is constantly adapting to the changing needs of the customer
• Creating clear scope definition and management, planning, communications, change management, and implementation.
• Capturing, resolving and escalating issues & impediments to ensure that project delivery continues effectively and unencumbered.
• Supporting the creation of executive-level presentation materials to support the communication of program-level information for various stakeholders

To Land This Role:

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering leadership with a focus on scalable cloud infrastructure and platform development.
• 10+ years of IT operations experience and preferably an extensive amount of that in Cloud Operations and Enterprise SaaS
• 8+ years of progressively increasing senior management experience managing diverse teams with an emphasis on people development and mentorship.
• Deep experience in cloud-first infrastructure (preferably GCP), as well as API and microservices architecture.
• You have a strong understanding of IT services, IT Service Management in an Enterprise context and cloud delivery models including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS; automation; containers; auto-scaling, virtual compute, storage, and networking; identity and access management; configuration management, incident management, problem management, asset management, logging and audit.
• Experience in CI/CD and application of DevOps mindset and principles (use and architecture)
• Significant container production experience with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or similar) and Docker
