Primary Purpose: The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in launching a new 3 shift/7 day a week fulfillment center in North Las Vegas. The Engineer will partner closely with leadership and work with all functions to drive network initiatives aligned with company goals. Support will include driving four wall improvements with a focus on safety, productivity, service, cost, performance standards, designing workflows, benchmarks, equipment sourcing, and analyzing operations. First year of this role will include heavy process implementation and change management to ensure efficiency in the launch of the start-up.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Industrial Engineering to...

  • Identify, analyze, and implement work simplifications, methods, and procedure improvements necessary to support warehouse functions
  • Establish, review, and/or update productivity standards and implement productivity measurements
  • Support distribution operations in projects related to systems requirements, methods and process improvements, layout, and workflow design
  • Design, build, improve infrastructure throughout the facility and/or network
  • Perform data mining and analyze results to provide recommendations
  • Provide analysis and support for short- and long-term capacity planning
  • Provide support for capital planning and administration including development of project justifications
  • Foster strong relationships and cross collaborate with leadership on a continuous basis

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field, preferred
  • 1-3 years' work experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
  • Excellent communication skills, time management, and analytical ability
  • Prior work experience in conducting time studies, project management, and layout design
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and AutoCAD (or equivalent)

An outstanding professional will have...

  • Prior experience in Manhattan Associates' warehouse management solution
  • Knowledge in SQL, Visual Basic or equivalent
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
