Primary Purpose: The Senior Operations Manager will play a key role in launching a new 3 shift/7 day a week fulfillment center in North Las Vegas. The Senior Manager will partner with leadership to support the facility start-up, ensuring business processes are functioning correctly to kick start operations. Key initiatives will be centered around setting goals for operations managers, developing organizational capability and modeling a safe workplace.

Regularly, the Senior Manager will lead a talented team of Operations Managers on different shifts and departments responsible for efficiency, safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This position will have a significant focus on developing direct reports, cultivating engagement, providing essential tools and resources, setting a standard, and providing a vision for the team to follow.

This role will report to the VP of Fulfillment and Logistics

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in distribution operations to...

  • Collaborate with the VP of Fulfillment and Logistics, facility leaders, and business partners
  • Managing annual operating plan (Budget)
  • Drive overall fulfillment and logistics capabilities by managing facility wide implementations
  • Manage new procedures or technologies to improve service levels
  • Achieve all productivity, quality, cost, safety, motivation objectives
  • Resolve conflict, solve problems, make decisions, and team building skills
  • Create a safe and positive work environment for all employees
  • Own and develop strategies for meeting future facility and business goals/objectives
  • Report performance against weekly and monthly goals
  • Manage projects while maintaining daily operations
  • Lead direct reports and drive performance through development
  • Hire and develop managers to create succession plan for the facility
  • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
  • Work in an environment with varied noise levels and temperatures


The accomplished individual will possess...

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory/management level position in a warehouse/distribution center environment
  • Ability to manage and direct team functions with little or no direct supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Required to be computer literate with a working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • A proven success record in supervising, training, coaching/motivating, problem solving and developing team members
  • Minimum 3-year experience managing budgets
  • Minimum 3-year experience working with WMS
  • Ability to travel 10-25%


An outstanding professional will have...

  • A Bachelors or Master's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • More than 8 years' experience in a leadership position in a warehouse/distribution, machinery, aerospace, cosmetics, medical, production environments
  • Experience in process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen
  • Strong influence management and communication skills, ability to gain organizational buy-in
  • Encourage collaboration across the team and business unit
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, form conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations in a timely manner
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, finance, planning, and project cost forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of different priorities
  • Adjust to competing and shifting priorities
  • 3 years' experience in automated warehouses
  • 4 years' experience in e-commerce/omnichannel experience
  • 4 years' experience managing budgets
  • 4 years' experience with WMS/WES
