Primary Purpose:

A key member of the Tapestry global communications team and ESG taskforce, this new role works in a matrix organization to develop powerful, impactful communications across all Environmental, Social Impact and Governance areas. This role reports to Tapestry's Chief Communications Officer and works closely with leaders and partners around the world including the ESG Taskforce, Tapestry Executive Committee, Global Chief Inclusion and Social Impact Officer, Equity Inclusion & Diversity Team, ESG Team, Employee Resource Groups, Investor Relations, Foundation Leadership and the Global Communications Team.

  • Build on the groundwork in place to develop, implement and measure Tapestry's global ESG communications strategy, driving reputation and engagement with all audiences. Continuously stay curious and informed about ESG trends and insights to inform communications opportunities and evolve strategy. Lean into the technical elements of ESG communications including ESG ratings and climate as needed, while also developing communications that bring audiences along and create understanding and engagement to drive change.
  • Create Powerful Content - Be the communications expert on all ESG content both internally and externally. From CSR reports to social content and employee storytelling to media engagement this role brings to life our ESG commitment by translating complex ideas into clear, sticky, and actionable narratives.
  • Media Relations - Working with a variety of stakeholders, develop story ideas and press materials for key initiatives. Build media relationships and monitor news cycle to identify media opportunities to demonstrate our ESG results and commitment.
  • Support issues and crisis communications by providing advice impacting corporate and brand reputation on ESG topics.
  • Employee Communications - An important audience is our 20,000+ employees across our stores and our corporate offices. This individual is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies that engage employees on Tapestry's ESG commitments across people, planet and communities.
  • Partner with Investor Relations to provide ESG content for inclusion in investor communications.
  • Lead our Tapestry Cultural Moments Action Committee which coordinates ESG communications across the company.
  • Data and Insights - Use data to provide advice to leaders across our organization on global ESG insights and best practices, as well as risks and opportunities as they relate to our reputation.


The accomplished individual will possess...
  • 10 years of work experience developing and implementing effective communication plans and strategies; working with senior leaders; and developing engaging ESG communications.
  • Expertise in technical elements of ESG communications as well as a strong interest in current events and communicating complex challenges in a clear and culturally competent way.
  • Knowledge of ESG indices, disclosure requirements and disclosure next practicesincluding Global Reporting Initiative, Sustainability Accounting and Standards, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Carbon Disclosure Project and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications.
  • Strong executive presence, with a proven track record of working with a variety of audiences.
  • Thrives in a changing global environment. Is a curious learner, enjoys problem solving and can collaborate across disparate teams.
  • Ability to work confidently while paying close attention to detail and quality.
  • A passion for communications, creative storytelling, our brands and ESG.


An outstanding professional will have...
  • Keen understanding of current news and social landscape. Tech and social media savvy in exploring different mediums/modes of communication to achieve communication objectives.
  • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred (Masters a plus) and experience in a public company-responsible for ESG communications.
