We have a challenging and exciting opportunity in our London office for a Marketing director to join our growing team. This is a newly created role, giving you a chance to make an instant impact and play a significant role in an early stage start up.

Your mission will be to grow and lead Oner Active marketing team. We are looking for someone with director level experience of developing and executing marketing strategies for global e-commerce businesses.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Act as a senior stakeholder and a key part of the senior leadership within the company. You will be a voice of authority and break the status quo. Build the KPIs for multiple teams and deliver business growth.
  • Translate the overall direction of the business strategy into goals that are relevant for each department.
  • Develop a marketing strategy and roadmap, with quarterly sales forecasts and targets to then be delivered by the marketing team.
  • Work with the senior team to develop a brand marketing strategy that brings the brand to life in an exciting and creative way and then manage execution through the campaigns team.
  • Design, hire and lead a best-in class marketing department delivering across Brand, Growth, Retention, Campaign Planning and Creative Production.
  • Design and manage a reporting cycle that delivers accurate and insightful sales/data analysis to senior stakeholders and the wider business on a regular cadence.
  • Source, negotiate and manage agency partners where needed. Create and own an operational framework for the entire marketing team that delivers efficient and high-quality work.
  • Create and execute cohesive business marketing strategy across all teams including social media, brand marketing & press, campaigns & events and creative team.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Seasoned leader with in-depth experience across all vertical marketing disciplines.
  • Expert feedback giver and empowerer – leading by example and nurturing team members. 
  • Industry specific experience in the fashion or sports apparel verticals. 
  • Proven experience hiring and leading skilled and effective teams, adept at identifying and bringing out the necessary skill sets.
  • Expert business commercial understanding and very clear understanding of the industry and the ways to succeed and cut through. You will carry commercial targets and are able to align the team’s work and priorities and steer accordingly.
  • You have in-depth understanding of both Brand and Direct Response marketing disciplines and are comfortable switching between the two seamlessly.
  • Can prioritise multiple projects to ensure each of your reports has the appropriate share of resources to meet their department’s priorities.
  • Communicate with calm confidence and inspire confidence in those above and below you in the business hierarchy.
  • A digital native with a passion for social media and content creation.
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing leadership/management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices.
  • Strong in analysis, forecasting, testing, and use of KPIs.
  • Strong e-commerce experience, ideally in a start-up or fast-growing business experience.
