Senior Project Manager - Operations (all genders)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Zalando Fulfillment Solutions (ZFS) is a logistics service for our platform partners. The platform enables merchants (brands, retailers) to sell fashion articles directly to Zalando customers (online marketplace). The ZFS Operations Team is responsible to ensure that the partner facing processes are optimal and that our business can keep running efficiently.

As a Senior Project Manager - Operations, you will support the ZFS Operations team in managing key projects related to enabling new capabilities, driving operational improvements, creating a PMO process, while owning, creating, monitoring and controlling progress of the respective projects. You should use your expertise to share knowledge on best practices with various team members to get the team to a next level in project management. You will support the Lead of the department with the daily business and will prepare and follow up on meetings and working on communication formats.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED…

• Create and manage the PMO process for the Operations team - establish and manage work packages, reporting structures, resource planning and stakeholders, keep several plates spinning at the same time. Identify improvement opportunities and implement best-practices of Project Management.
• Work on strategic initiatives with stakeholders across our Logistics departments and within Connected Network.
• Build your own trustful stakeholder network and provide support and leadership to team members and peers, create and facilitate trainings to share your project management knowledge and raise the bar in that area.
• Support the Operations Lead with the daily business, in preparing and following up on appointments or working on communication formats. You shall ensure meetings content is prepared in advance and keep an eye on the agenda.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…

• 5+ years of experience in project management in the field of Supply Chain Management, (Supply Chain/Logistics) Consulting, in the fashion- or e-commerce industry, and/or Logistics.
• You have demonstrated top performance in project management within complex, fast paced organisations across multiple stakeholders and cross-functionally with virtual teams.
• You have advanced knowledge in project management tools and methodologies, you proactively anticipate and overcome obstacles, as well as pushing your projects to success with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
• Crisp and concise communication, you have the sharp ability to draft logical storylines/outlines and are experienced in creating meaningful presentations.
• Strong customer focus, you are structured and well organized and always think one step ahead with the customer in mind. Furthermore, you bring strong interpersonal skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, you have a hands-on mentality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment dealing with many topics simultaneously and always thrive to find the best solution in the shortest possible time
• Fluency in English is required - German is a plus
• Knowledge in customs topics and processes are a plus
