At Scotch & Soda we are looking for an experienced and numbers-driven E-commerce Buyer to create the assortments for all our genders and product groups throughout all our e-commerce channels. The ideal candidate for this key role within our e-commerce team will function as the go-to person when it comes to everything related to products live on our e-commerce channels - our regular .com and separate marketplaces. In this role you will be responsible for the EU market. You will be working on the full product range (seasonal, NOS and license) from the pre-buy to in-season monitoring and re-ordering.

YOU WILL

Pre-season:
  • Provide input to planning for budget creation
  • Prepare the buy for our own .com channel with different analysis (size, depth, returns, ROS etc.)
  • Prepare a marketplace buy based on data and information from relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare the buy of licensed products from third companies (underwear, footwear, eyewear)
  • Keep close contact with merchandising to make sure all our e-commerce needs are covered
  • Maintain and own relevant files (buyfile, visual overview formats, financial roll-ups etc.)

In-season:
  • Buy all apparel assortments for all genders (Men/Women/Kids/Unisex) in alignment with the budgets and the retail and mandatory buy selections
  • Buy for our marketplace channels in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
  • Buy license products at third companies (underwear, footwear, eyewear)
  • Keep close contact with the retail buyers and sales to make sure that the retail selection is covered for the best omnichannel customer experience
  • Keep track of the marketing plan to align the Ecom buy with it
  • Keep track of the budget vs. the buy
  • Prepare financial roll-up (and deliver) with the central BP&A team

After-season:
  • Hand-over buy to digital merchandise team
  • Present the collection to the e-commerce team
  • Track and re-order all seasonal products live on the website
  • Help planning with input to manage the re-order budget
  • Provide relevant feedback to the merchandise team to improve future buying seasons

Ongoing:
  • Create and present product related input for weekly trade meeting and execute action points
  • Check performance of other sales channels and align with retail buyers/sales managers on learning and action points
  • Deliver product input for newsletters and marketing campaigns
  • Align with photo studio to make sure important product details are captured
  • Attend weekly allocation meeting and execute action points
  • Monitor, forecast and re-order all NOS products live on the website in alignment with planning


Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in e-commerce, fashion, business management or related field
  • Buying and planning experience in e-commerce or retail combined with knowledge and strong understanding of KPI's and maths
  • Feeling for fashion and interested in trends and market needs
  • Highly analytical, structured, proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
