POSITION SUMMARY:

The  Production Assistant, Sweater Knits works closely with the Senior Director of Product Development to coordinate the complete development of sweater knits from material sourcing to final sample. This role supports the design team to help the brand realize design concepts and samples. Our product developer partners with Merchandising to ensure accuracy of product offering to our customers. This role combines design awareness and business skills to create products that meet both market and production requirements through material/ technique research and liaison to manufacturing partners.

 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Daily Email Communication & Follow-up with factories
  • Daily RLM updates following production updates
  • Create & Maintain Excel Development Thumbnails & SMS breakdown
  • Create & Maintain Production RLM functions–Finished Goods POs, Design, Style, and Production Manager
  • Manage & Monitor & Collect all Incoming parcels from factories and raw material suppliers
  • Oversee & Coordinate all Press/Marketing Requests
  • Attend Design Meetings & Fittings with Alex
  • Attend Production Fittings with team
  • Maintain Master Excel costing template
  • Maintain Projection Dates chart to submit to Merch generated from factory T&A charts
  • Create & Manage line lists for Merch & Sales for Line Edit in RLM Design and Style Manager
  • Assists SMS handoff from Design Studio & Runway Venue to Merch & VM with PD Manager
  • Manage factory WIPs & ensure on time progress to maintain delivery date – includes initial T&A needs from Merch & Factory, raw material receipt & swatch reference approvals, QC inspection dates, Start knit, Final Delivery
  • Create & Maintain RLM Production POs and communicate to factory --- size breaks, warehouse allocations, overages/shortages, delivery date, HTS code, MCC description
  • Create & Maintain & Issue Excel BOMs
  • Generate & Issue Weekly Shipping Reports
  • Review all Bulk Garment Testing Reports & Compliance Issues
  • Review all TOPs for compliance items
  • Oversee & Ensure all bulk garment delivery date --- review packing list & confirm receipt in RLM
  • Issue & Approve --- all branding labels, care labels, UPC codes documents
  • Cross-Functional communication with other divisions /categories to ensure aligned data  

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years excluding internship experience. Bachelor’s Degree.

 

SKILLS:

  • Preferable Education/Experience in fully fashioned sweater knits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and generic photo editing software with drawing tools
  • Experience working in modular end-to-end business solutions software: ie Blue Cherry, RLM, GCS, Apparel Magic, File Maker
  • Clear & direct writing skills, detail oriented, problem solver, good memory, organized, positive attitude, willingness to learn, proactive, works well under pressure, team player, passionate, self-motivated, analytical, good with numbers, eye for quality, data analysis proficiency
