Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing day to day assistance to the Production Team. Working within the framework of the seasonal production cycles. Specified production duties relate to women’s and children’s shoes & handbags. Ultimately responsible for supporting the Production Team in achieving seasonal on-time delivery, working with the Product Development team and Sales/Merch at various stages within the season to achieve this.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Specifications – Helps set up production tech packs according to the PP schedule for production. Attends the general post sales campaign pre-production fit meetings and all pre-production sample fit meetings.

Pre-Production Samples – Responsible for the chasing and tracking of all pre-production samples via a tracking spreadsheet and creates priority lists depending on factory scheduling for the sealing process. Is involved in the fitting of PPs with Technical/Product Development/Design where possible to troubleshoot and ensure on time delivery.

Samples – Updates line sheets with changes made to samples after SMS edit. Leads a sample changes meeting with Buying, Wholesale & Comms teams to ensure correct samples are being used when needed. Where required orders additional samples for market, comms & technical.

Production Orders – supports Production Team with all admin related to the production orders. Barcodes, setting up seasonal schedules. Updates the packaging manual for supplier distribution. Ensures that the seasonal label placement manual for each individual maker is sent.

Pricing – Supports the Production Team with updating relevant pricing files and ERP.

Raw Material Orders - Processes production orders of raw materials and sends orders alongside emails to manufacturers and recording order confirmations. Updates order details into the production schedule overview spreadsheet. Monitoring the delivery schedule in accordance with the production planning timeline.

Material QC - Requests, archive, and check quality references for all production materials prior to commencement of production. Lab test where required.

Raw Material Invoices - Manages the processing of raw material invoices and prepares invoices for checking and signing off for payment and archiving afterwards, liaising with accounts to receive payment confirmations, and passing this information to factories as required. Filing paid invoices in the relevant seasonal budget archive. Manages invoices alongside the monthly cost report and seasonal budget.

Monitoring the Production Cycle - Supports the Production Team with seasonal on-time delivery using the WIP overview spreadsheet to chase vendors and update the status of production runs. Liaises directly with manufacturers and supply them with relevant production spreadsheets with support of senior team members. Update the seasonal production collection WIP.

Repairs & Faulty Goods – working with the Tech and Production team, provides feedback support for Sales/Ecommson returned goods and determines whether issues need to be escalated. Receives emails from W/sale and E-comm with images of faults for customer repairs helps determines action on the faults along with the Product Assistant in a timely fashion.

PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

Will have at least 2 years in a luxury Footwear & Handbag Product role and have full understanding of the production process across women’s and children’s footwear categories as well as a sound understanding of the critical path and on time delivery.

Candidate must be able to work to critical path deadline and have a flexible approach to the role. Organization and clear communication is critical to the role as well as acute attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft excel, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Nav is a bonus.

Her collections have also expanded to include Children, Bridal and Handbag ranges, all of which have been successful and proved her signature aesthetic can be translated across multiple categories.
