Job description

Your main responsibilities will be as follows :

The primary job function is to manage and assume overall responsibility for the success of his stores by directing all operational aspects of each store and driving sales whilst minimizing costs :

· Deliver sales and profitability objectives:
  • Work on the region sales objectives and set store targets
  • Manage and deliver KPI's and business key indicators
  • Monitor daily/weekly and monthly results and build action plans to improve results and be pro-active.
  • Analyse : sales reports per store; Money mapping; Best sellers;
  • Follow Visual merchandising guideline but also challenged when necessary
  • Understand and identify priorities to develop initiatives.
  • Understand your market perfectly (Competitors; Customer's profiles).
  • Develop strong relationship with department store and store management teams
  • Ensure stores develop a personalized relationship with customers


· People management:
  • Manage a team of store managers and motivate his team by strong management skills:
  • Lead by example;
  • Listen, support and communicate efficiently;
  • Organize team meetings and training for the managers and team members:
  • Work on staff competencies and individual development plans:
  • Recruit his team to the highest standard possible and anticipate recruitment needs with HR.
  • Manage performances of the managers and store team:
  • Develop staff cost optimization
  • Delegate efficiently and follow up.

· Operations:
  • Stock control and shrinkage in accordance to the guidelines of the Retail Department of the brand
  • Participate to all stocktakes to ensure perfect organization and identify actions of improvement (opening on time, preparation, negative stock and faulty stock dealt with...)
  • Use the tools given to manage their stores efficiently: Checklist visits; HR tools; Focus day.
  • Participate and organize new store openings

Profile

  • 3/4 years of experience as an Area Manager, ideally in Retail
  • Strong understanding of the UK & Ireland fashion retail market
  • Well organised, multitasks, you must like operational business and environment
  • You know how to drive and retain your teams
  • Flexible with working hours and enjoy travelling
  • Perfect skills on Excel to analyse KPI's
  • Native speaker with a good knowledge
  • Speaking French can be a plus.
  • Knowledge of the functioning of store departments is desired
