Shrimps is a fashion label from London-based designer Hannah Weiland, launched in 2013.  With a background in History of Art and Surface Textile Design, Weiland takes her inspiration from the witticisms of modern art and a playful engagement with pattern and texture.  Initially known for colourful faux fur outerwear, bringing the material to the luxury sphere and leading the conversation on cruelty-free fashion, Shrimps now has a full ready-to-wear offering and is renowned for its handmade accessories.

The Role:

This is an extremely exciting role for an experienced candidate who is passionate about e-commerce and fashion, with an interest in joining a dynamic team.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the day to day trading and development of the website, and digital marketing strategies. This is an ideal role for an individual with proven experience in online retail to play a pivotal role in the delivery of an ambitious digital growth strategy. You will be working closely with senior management to develop initiatives to support sales growth, researching and planning new development features and technology solutions as well as project managing tasks performed by external developers.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will own their role in a dynamic, fast-paced and entrepreneurial atmosphere.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the companies e-commerce platform including buying, trading, product upload, reporting and promotional activity.
  • Experience in growing international presence and optimizing the website for EU and worldwide territories
  • Providing weekly/monthly reporting and forecasts, drawing on sales history, current trading patterns, company strategy and re-forecasting as neccessary
  • Define and implement e-commerce strategies, identifying opportunities to drive incremental sales.
  • Track inventory levels, bestsellers, slow movers, OOS etc.
  • Regularly review customer purchase cycle and identify potential enhancements and improvements to continually optimize the user experience
  • Identify specific development tasks and project manage external resources’ when needed to execute changes
  • Testing and quality control of development changes
  • Review and test apps, extensions and tech solutions
  • Identify potential extensions, apps and integration to enhance the front and back end functionality of the store
  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive profitable sales, grow brand awareness and acquire new customers.
  • Plan & optimise digital advertising campaigns on Facebook and Google Ads
  • Have a thorough knowledge of analytics and insight tools including GA to influence decision making across the business
  • Build a social strategy alongside creative and content teams to grow the channel organically and through paid social activations
  • Analyze traffic and performance to gather insights on how improve conversion rates
  • Manage the brand's affiliate program and monitor its performance and ROI
  • Must have Shopify and Shopify Plus experience
  • Have end-to-end logistics experience working with internal teams and 3PL management 
  • Multi-channel platform management experience including Farfetch & WeChat
  • Team management experience across content, social & customer care
  • Third-party agency management experience across performance marketing
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with third-party PR agency
  • Execute and manage CRM strategies across marketing channels to grow customer life-time value and CRM rates

The person:

  • We are open in both part time and full time applications.
  • 3-5 years experience in a relevant position with strong and demonstrable knowledge of eCommerce and digital marketing 
  • Proficient in using Shopify and Shopify+, Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Facebook Ad Manager, MailChimp
  • Very strong communication skills with excellent use of written English
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; ability to summarize data and information clearly and efficiently
  • Strong experience using excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Well-organized and efficient with good time-management and prioritization
  • A self-starter and motivated person, who can demonstrate initiative and is able to work independently when needed
  • Accountability and ownership of challenges and the ability to follow through.
  • Creative problem solver with an analytical and methodical approach to tasks
  • Able to drive process improvements and create regular and ad hoc reports
  • Commercially minded and keen to grow with the business
  • Flexible team player with strong communication skills and enthusiasm
