THE ROLE

Farfetch packaging is our Customers' first physical point of contact with us, our packaging helps us tell our Customers how much we care about them, about our products and about the environment.

The Packaging Supply Chain Manager will have full responsibility for the end-to-end Packaging Supply Chain of our 1P partners, from design and production to forecasting planning, stock management, logistics and delivery of all their packaging needs.

You will help us deliver our Sustainability, Cost and Service goals through optimization of our 1P partners' packaging.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Support the design and redesign of the packaging of our 1P partners. Engage with the Marketing and Brand teams to ensure that the Customer experience is in line with the requirements of each Brand.
    • Engage with the Operations teams in our 1P partners to understand their specific requirements, their processes and limitations, with a view to implement group guidelines which are adapted to the specificities of each operation.
    • Ideate, simulate, propose and implement automation projects in the packing function of our 3PLs. Estimate ROI of any investments in this area and support our sustainability, experience and cost objectives through further reduction of the volumetric weight shipped from our warehouses.
    • Design, set up and lead the day to day packaging operations of our 1P partners, liaising with your colleagues in the packaging, planning and procurement teams to define stock management policies, replenishment cycles, sourcing locations and contracts. Define and achieve 99%+ availability and quality SLAs on all SKUs.
    • Evangelize our 1P partners on the three areas of focus of our packaging supply chain: Sustainability, Cost and Service. Continuously engage and inspire all areas of the business towards these common goals.


WHO YOU ARE

    • Proven experienced in Supply Chain Management within a Retail and/or E-commerce environment. Experience with packaging would be a plus.
    • 4+ years experienced in end-to-end Supply Chain Management, with the ability to understand complex, sequential supply chains from commoditized raw materials to demanding customers.
    • Experience managing stock in service focused environments with long lead-times, very high stock availability expectations and considerable seasonal fluctuations.
    • Proactive with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Have a BA or Master in economics, engineering, management or supply chain.
    • An excellent communicator, with the ability to create effective relationships throughout the business across all levels.
    • Fluent in English (both oral and written).
    • Professional, driven, reliable and with a flexible attitude.
