This position provides vendor support; utilizing excellent customer service skills and problem solving abilities. This position requires a good working knowledge of accounting processes as well as analytical skills. It requires timely and accurate work processes. Individuals in this position manage vendor accounts and are expected to resolve outstanding issues and assist our vendors on how to avoid payable problems. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

Key Performance Elements:

  • Communicating with vendors, buyers and receiving managers using both oral and written communication skills
  • Researching and analyzing outstanding vendor issues
  • Negotiating and driving resolution on outstanding claims and invoices
  • Keying paybacks and settlements in Accounts Payable system
  • Identify vendors with recurring issues and partner with them to resolve outstanding issues
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong AP knowledge and skills
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize vendor accounts
  • Effectively communicate to all levels
  • Ability to make decisions and be able to handle responsibilities with little supervision
  • Ability to identify problems quickly and eliminate low return tasks


Work Experience:

3-4 years of accounting or general accounts payable experience
