Title: Analyst, Global Procurement Operations

Location: Japan

Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate, guide and support the supplier setup process for new Japan suppliers.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Procurement, Customer Support and Issue Resolution to:

  • Perform in the role of Supplier Management Analyst:
    • Drive new supplier setups to completion by working with requestor, supplier, and internal approvers to ensure timely and smooth setup
    • Work cross functionally to ensure necessary approvals and due diligence is completed for new suppliers
    • Provide Japanese/English translations for vendors and/or Third Party Due Diligence approvers
    • Champion Ariba/BuyingHub within local markets
    • Educate and empower end users by hosting trainings
    • Facilitate update/change requests via ServiceNow for supplier updates/changes
    • Translate training documents and guides from English to Japanese when needed
    • Additional tasks as needed


The accomplished individual will possess...
  • B.S. / B.A. degree in Business or Technology (or other related degree programs)
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Japanese and English
  • Understanding of basic Japan local business practice of order to cash flow is a plus
  • Customer support mentality and experience, whether internally- or externally-facing, including an ability to prevent escalations
  • Experience with global collaboration and good teamwork skills to work with other company departments to plan and execute enhancements to the above technologies
  • Strong facilitation skills to communicate and educate stakeholders across the company
  • Strong demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with process, quality control, and workflow management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
