Vestiaire Collective is looking for a SENIOR E-COMMERCE COPYWRITER , to join the Brand & Marketing team, with the mission to write highly impactful and engaging content (U.S. English first) for all of Vestiaire Collective's channels and touchpoints. This is a full-time role based in our New York office (hybrid schedule) and reporting to the Head of Copy.

About the role

What you'll do:
  • Sitting within the Creative Factory, our internal agency, this role offers the opportunity to develop our unique tone of voice under the guidance of our Creative Director & Head of Copy, with the goal to help our brand stand-out in a highly competitive environment.
  • Working alongside the second Senior Copywriter, y ou will write the copy for marketing campaigns, critical customer communications, on-site and in-app features, and editorial content, reaching an audience of >10m customers in the U.S. alone.
  • You will also maintain collaborative relationships with the regional commercial managers, the Marketing team and the Channel owners in order to maintain an outstanding brand consistent language. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a global team of people from the U.S., Europe, and Asia to interpret Vestiaire Collective's unique brand voice for an audience of passionate fashion enthusiasts.

Tasks will include:
  • Develop our unique, witty and unapologetic brand tone of voice on all our commercial campaigns, define and fine-tune it on each of our touchpoints.
  • Write up impactful copies for marketing, commercial, fashion, editorial campaigns (onsite, CRM, 360) with a great knowledge of CTA driving business impact and SEO friendly approach.
  • Deliver efficient, action-oriented copy for our customer communications via email, text, on-site and in-app.
  • Assist the Head of Copy in maintaining copywriting systems for our business: Create a multilingual database including tone of voice definitions, key messages, franchise names and written concepts, regularly updated.
  • Facilitate coordination between product teams on requirements gathering for various projects.
  • Help Vestiaire Collective on its global positioning, become the voice of our company, carry our mission and help us revolutionize the fashion industry for good.
  • Understand the customer journey and the business to provide the best writing content.

Who you are:
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working within a copywriting team ( preferably in U.S. english) in fashion e-commerce platforms (or strong consumer brands), advertising or editorial content.
  • Able to evolve in a very fast paced environment, and willing to shape our brand with a strong sense of formula, our ideal candidate will be able to find the right tone for commercial and marketing topics, and be a strong and collaborative team member.
  • This role of e-commerce copywriter is to engage users of online shopping system, as well as potential clients who are interested in purchasing or selling on our platforms.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in website publishing preferably in US companies for global brands. You have a proven track-record as an E-Commerce Copywriter providing impactful, on-brand text to accompany and clarify design elements. This role serves as an integral component to consumers' messaging, bringing concepts fully to life to emerge in a complex and saturated e-commerce landscape.
  • You'll write copy for a wide array of media and touchpoints. The ideal e-commerce copywriter will have experience with original online campaigns as well as large-scale websites.

Responsibilities
  • E-commerce copywriter should relate textual and visual elements in a complementary, informative, straightforward style
  • Assess and deliver the proper tonal range on a brief basis, utilizing customized styles when appropriate
  • E-commerce copywriter should produce timely communications for internal teams and clients
  • Interface with multiple departments to maintain best practices in language fluency

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Excellent and flawless copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
  • 5+ years of copywriting experience in ecommerce
  • Contrasting samples of work for a mix of audiences, brands, and industries
  • SEO familiarity
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as an efficient team member
  • Excellent verbal, presentational, and interpersonal communication skills
  • E-Commerce Copywriters should have experience with large-scale site builds in the e-commerce industry
  • Must be fluent in English. French is a plus
