Position Overview
The Assistant Designer for Women's Polo Performance Outerwear will assist in weekly functions/tasks or project-based work covering the Performance Outerwear design department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Extensively research tear sheets, mood images, trends, prints, colors, silhouettes, and details each season
•
* Assist in creating inspiring design presentation boards both physically and digitally each season
* Sketch in Illustrator/Photoshop - flat garment sketches, CAD/render sketches
* Assist in creating and completing design handoffs, tech packs and trim detail pages
* Prepare Board Review stats
* Update sketches and CADs as changes occur throughout the design process and update design boards accordingly
* Maintain thorough knowledge of the line/responsible for tracking/updating changes
* Attend all fittings and partner with PD/Technical team on all sketch and BOM updates
* Organize sample closet, seasonal binders, and references
* Affinity and Passion for RL Family of Brands and Timeless Style

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Technical skill requirements: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
* Basic knowledge of PLM or similar program and is willing to learn
* Well versed and strong interest in garment construction
* Works with sense of urgency and ability to complete tasks with speed, ease, and accuracy
* Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong communication and follow-up skills: verbal and handwritten
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills: Organized, thinking ahead, and positive #LI-CE1
