Job Title: Sr. Analyst, Enterprise Data Solutions

Primary Purpose: The hire will be responsible for delivering data systems, data processing, and data transformation projects using AWS cloud-based services. The successful candidate will participate in all phases of software development lifecycle across our AWS/Snowflake based big data stack. The person in this role will support development, automation, configuration management and deployment of our cloud-native data pipelines to support business critical operations and analytics.

  • Work with the core business CRM teams and business analysts to identify development needs
  • Design and advocate for modern solutions using cloud technologies, solid design principles, secure integration points, and automated deployments
  • Create tooling, structure, automation for new initiatives and existing data pipelines (when required)
  • Strong ability to understand, document and communicate technical architectures, best practices, toolsets, and solutions
  • Own code pipeline and data operations needs of the EDS team
  • Apply SQL and Cloud knowledge to facilitate resolution of support issues.
  • Acquire knowledge of existing data solutions/pipelines in order to support and enhance business critical processes
  • Own development, test, and production environments
  • Strong and innovative approach to problem solving and finding solutions
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal, formal, and informal)
  • Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership


The accomplished individual will possess...

Experience with the following technology frameworks:
  • Good understanding of various database systems - Snowflake, Hbase, MS SQL Server
  • Good understanding of various cloud platforms - AWS and GCP
  • Cloud native data technologies like Glue, Athena, S3, CloudWatch, and EMR
  • Orchestration tools like Tidal, Airflow
  • Core ANSI SQL development experience (DML, DDL, DCL)
  • Good Scripting knowledge in automation using python/bash/other scripting language
  • Fundamental understanding of Data structures and experience with distributed computing platforms
  • Good understanding of versioning tools like Git, BitBucket etc.


An outstanding professional will have...

  • 3+ years of experience as a developer
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and to perform proactively
  • A proven track record of designing reliable and scalable processes and driving their adoption throughout a development organization.
  • Strong ability to understand, document and communicate technical architectures, best practices, toolsets, and solutions.
  • Collaborative skills to partner with other development teams and business analysts to deliver revenue impacting data solutions
  • A strong sense of curiosity and interest in Data Science and how it can be leveraged to drive performance in the Retail industry.
