About the Role

In this role, you will be a critical part of managing and supporting employee total rewards strategy, plan design, administration, compliance and communication of Benefits, Compensation, and Global Mobility programs. Initial focus will be on US & Canada benefit programs but scope expected to expand. You will help ensure that programs are market competitive and add value for employees and the company and look forward on how to enhance existing and add new ones. You will engage with internal business partners (HR, Finance, others) to understand the priorities of the business, and apply those priorities with internal and external business partners on delivery of programs and initiatives that support talent attraction and retention.

What You'll Do

  • Growing subject Matter Expert in US Benefit Programs including: Leaves & Disability, Retirement, Health & Welfare, & Wellbeing programs. Willing to learn compensation, global mobility, & non-US benefit programs.
  • Partners with lead Total Rewards program managers to manages budget, vendor, and stakeholder relationships associated with the role
  • Ensures compliance of Gap Inc. Total Rewards programs with all business and legal plan requirements, For example, may be involved in the preparation and filing of legally required reports and documents such as the SPD and 5500 filing in the US market or aids SOX certifications and internal audit reviews
  • Works closely with Shared Services as well as other internal and external key stakeholders to manage the administration of the benefit programs & the employee experience around them.
  • Partner with Total Rewards Communication Lead to communicate plan changes and employee impact to multiple audiences. Must be able to share knowledge and expertise with team members, internal partners, as well as with employees
  • Project manages the day-to-day Total Rewards Program management as well potentially the implementation of new programs and changes to existing.
  • Manages benchmarking and survey process to help maintain the competitiveness of our Total Rewards Programs. Continuously evaluates new programs and changes to existing to amplify the value of the Total Rewards portfolio to Gap Inc. employees.
  • Represents Gap Inc. and participates in forums such as Retail Benefits Group


Who You Are

  • Total Rewards Program management experience, with a preference towards US Benefit Programs. Very strong preference towards Leave of Absence (LOA) and PTO program management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws governing Total Rewards, especially in the US Market; strong understanding of US LOA laws across states highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen, particularly financial and analytical skills; solid understanding of IT capabilities with HRMS desirable; project management skills essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects, manage multiple vendors and outside consultant relationships
  • Advises and influences, gaining alignment across business units and functions
  • A strong-partnership work-style, able to receive feedback respectfully & act on it, willingness to learn & do beyond comfort zone, and strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
