The Team:

The CK Sport Merchandising team is responsible for driving and implementing the collection- and merchandising strategy in line with business targets and in line with consumer- and market trends.

On a cross-functional level, the Sport Merchandising team closely interacts with the following teams:
  • Global Merchandising: key partner and the bridge to Global Design and Product Development being responsible for the planning and implementation of a successful product strategy which meets the EMEA specific product requirements and delivers on sales, productivity and margin targets
  • A combined Design function that ensures we stay close to our DNA and clearly differentiate our lifestyles, while driving product excellence and elevation through deep creative expertise
  • Buying and Planning: An integrated Buying & Planning expertise centre that balances flexibility and (cost) efficiency by working closely with production partners and product creation and sales functions
  • GTM: Key contact to support all country sales teams with presenting the collection, support key account meetings and ensure effective and consistent communication between division, country sales and retail.
  • Marketing: A highly skilled marketing machine that drives brand awareness and engagement with consumer centric campaigns that amplify our lifestyle and product messaging while developing a strong I&D platform


The Position:

The Merchandiser position is a pivotal role to ensure that all category KPIs are met or exceeded. The Product Merchandiser takes ownership to achieve sustainable and profitable growth for the men's collection by understanding and applying the consumer needs, brand strategy, company culture and DNA, and balancing different market requirements to create the best product line. Working closely with the global merchandising team, Planning and Go-To-Market Team as well as country sales teams to deliver the strongest product offering with cross-product storytelling from initial product strategy to product realization.

Key Responsibilities:

General:
  • Create and maintain all Merchandising related tools and working files
  • Support the Merchandise Manager in creating all analysis and tools for top performance at key collection milestone meetings
  • Partner up with Men's Merchandiser to work as team and be 100% aligned in all seasonal relevant processes
  • Drive the Women's business, ensuring both strategic and financial targets are met, close margin and target follow-up with the alignment and support of the Snr Merchandising Manager


Create and own seasonal merchandising process for Women's Sport with support of Snr Merchandising Manager. Ensure an accurate creation and maintenance of all relevant files and documents:
  • Create and develop the seasonal Women's brief to be used as base for the combined brief - consumer, competitor, accounts, business needs, seasonal business and market trend update, range plan (style, options, FOB, forecast)
  • PSEM/rangeplan: deliver all relevant data including numbers, support Snr Merchandising Manager to finalize PSEM presentation and rangeplan
  • Evaluate the seasonal plan at 1st Proto review, highlight potential business gaps and create a balanced and commercial line for the European market
  • Create seasonal line based on financial targets such as productivity, positioning, margin, RRP's, WHSL value
  • Creation and maintenance of seasonal Women's collection files such as line list, tracking files, product CADs, sales tools, sticker for sample order etc.
  • Own and lead Women's related meetings such as line freeze, line reviews and internal presentations
  • Be in constant communication with the Women's product Merchandising team in New York


Own seasonal in-depth booking analysis, identify trends and draw the right conclusions for the Women's business:
  • Analyze bookings by category, channel and market, SKU and color and update your team bi-weekly
  • Compile qualitative feedback across all channels and regions post season
  • Highlight product misses and determine future opportunities and needs post season
  • Quarterly trend, competitors and color update to be presented to the team
  • Liaise / support Sales team and internal departments support on any Women's product-related queries. A key contact person will be defined for each x-functional team within the CK Sport Merchandising team. This person will handle externally both genders.


Market launch will be an ongoing project for Merchandiser:
  • As project owner define key specific tasks for CK Sport Merchandising team members: SMS tracking and processing, collection shoot for iPad, model bookings, hair and make-up and show room organization, etc.
  • Create Women's content for Market launch presentations
  • Present seasonal line to countries together with Snr Merchandising Manager
  • Look into new opportunities to further improve the market launch process


Sample management:
  • Define sample plan and project sample order in alignment with Sales (in collaboration with Men's Merchandiser)
  • Organize, archive and track samples for Women's category
  • Create and maintain sample track list
  • Support the Snr Merchandising Manager/Director on any ad-hoc projects or analysis requests


General Interface:
  • Working closely with Planning, Sales and Merchandising Operations to ensure all product related information is communicated
  • Liaise / support regional Sales teams and internal departments on any product-related queries for Women's line
  • Key point of contact for Women's line for departments we collaborate with


The Ideal Candidate:
  • 1 - 2 years working experience in a fashion product merchandising or similar role
  • Experience within sports / athleisure is desirable
  • Relevant degree is desirable
  • Excellent organisational, communication and negotiating skills
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and flexible environment
  • Understanding of European countries requirements and ability to translate the needs into the collection
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (reporting and handling big data amount, executing pivots and other analysis)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft PowerPoint is desirable
  • Fluent in English, as it is the working language of the company
