Position Overview
Provide support for the merchandising process - partner with lead category merchants and responsible for end to end activities. Partner with regional merchandising, design, and production teams to coordinate and manage the development process. Provide ongoing GFE system management, sample management, and preparation of adoption/line opening materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of our Brand Vision through Seasonal Merchandising strategies informed by on-going and methodical market research and collaboration with cross-functional partners in the Commercial and Design teams. Ensure strategies drive to Brand priorities relating to 'Design the Change' goals.
* Support Merch Ops in maintaining system integrity in GFE and change memos ensuring clear communication to all cross functional partners.
* Responsible for document creation and maintenance - line lists, sample inventory accuracy and milestone meeting presentations (Board Review, Adoption, Line Review & Brand Vision/Sales), specifically around product knowledge components.
* Analyze weekly selling and create recaps to support business needs & methodology within assortment planning - sales trends, volume drivers and sku productivity
* Track and present competitive and market relevant information - become an expert in the product, category & market landscape
* Attend design & weekly CFT meetings as needed by category merchant/manager
* Learn & eventually own specific categories more in-depth with support of the category lead - engaging in line planning, assortment building & product/strategy presentation
* Support all necessary ad hoc merchandising functions
* Contribute to a positive, collaborative, solution oriented, progressive and inclusive work environment promoting teamwork

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Merchandising or Buying experience in Womens Wear
* Strong analytical and retail math skills
* Strong communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills
* Evident leadership and influencing skills
* Highly organized, detail oriented & accurate
* Resourceful, efficient and able to take initiative
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Priority and time management
* Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, Retail Math, Adobe applications, MicroStrategy and GFE+ (if applicant has previous experience at Ralph Lauren) #LI-CE1
