About the role:

We are seeking a hard-working and dedicated Production Coordinator to join our motivated and ambitious team. In this role, you will support the Production Managers in coordinating all aspects of the production process. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with factories and suppliers, ensuring deadlines are met and the information is accurate at all stages.

 

Please note: Given the hands-on nature of this role, the Production Coordinator will be based full-time in our central Edinburgh office.

 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating ongoing production with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring deliveries are on time and that product quality meets Strathberry's high standards
  • Coordinating ongoing relationships with supply partners
  • Dealing, and planning for, fluctuations in production requirements for retail & wholesale orders
  • Assisting with the weekly production team meetings, ensuring that design and production schedules remain aligned and on target, and that any issues or changes are communicated to the relevant teams
  • Invoice management and liaison with finance team
  • Ensuring accurate production data is entered into the Zedonk system on time
  • Creating clear technical information for the manufacturers (Techpacks, Production Comments)
  • Managing the archive of samples and PPS requests
  • Overseeing the relationship with our quality control team, determining quality control standards and ensuring that the highest quality is maintained
  • Arranging shipments
  • Coordinating production logistics. Arranging transport consignments. Ensuring all paperwork is accurate before shipment and communicating with couriers.
  • Ongoing assessment of existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers, ensuring high CSR standards are met
  • Coordinating audits of workshops
  • Using technical knowledge and experience to enable design ideas to transfer into production

 

About you:

You will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar production role, ideally with experience and technical knowledge of leather goods production
  • Excellent organisation, numerical and problem solving skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, execute production goals and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Positive attitude with strong problem solving skills
  • A working knowledge of the Zedonk system desirable, although training can be provided
